As so many folks have expressed an interest in a bike track day, I guess we should get numbers. Let me know if you're interested, and what group you would be happy to go in, i.e. Novice, Intermediate, or Expert. Also, if anyone would want a bit of radio tution, if you've not done one before. We'll have to keep that bit quiet as the organisers might not like that. If anyone is really nervous but keen, we could always do a bit of a classroom session beforehand. Once I've got numbers, I'll approach a couple of organisers and see what sort of rate we can get for a block booking. If anyone needs any information about how these things work, don't hesitate to ask. Cheers.

Normally. But they do let some people on if they've got a provisional and a CBT.

I love Cadwell, my Honda NC30 was the absolute business around that track!

Getting a bit old and slow now I should think!

yep same here, but again total novice want to have ago next year though, a mate was telling me at some tracks they do like a tuition for novices and you use there bikes etc, that maybe of more interest to me, need to do a bit of research into the job over winter

Hi Andy,

They don't do track days at Thruxton, although it is an awesome circuit. You got to have big cahoonas to stay on the gas through Church Corner (140mph knee-down). Castle Coombe is good but very strict on noise restrictions. If we did something at Cadwell, I'd stay over the night before in digs.

If you novice guys would rather do a Race School (you use their bikes and kit), I've got a mate who teaches at Donnington, at the Ron Haslam Race School. His name is Victor Cox, and is a current rider in the British Superstock Championship. I'll see if we can get a group discount. Although it's a 'Race School', I don't think they teach you much. I teach my novice riders more when I'm training them for the practical test (honest).

I had thought of going there as they use same bike as mine!
Sounds like a road ride next spring in Wiltshire could be worth while

Now that would be cool. Got some great roads around here. We could do a day/weekend high speed training course. I've trained a lot of the local Police (always helps to have a few boys in blue on your side).
