Clivey and Dorset Naga Episode - Supplied Courtesey of Jon B

Well,

last night I got home and found in my mailbox, a Jiffy bag within which, was a little brown box, inside which, was stuffed a number of red chillies. Dorset Nagas supplied as a taster by the superior Mr J. Benn Esq. He had written on the box 'Very Hot'.

Big knockers, I thought, I can handle them.

Siobhan had been goading me into eating one whole ever since she found out what they were, and why they had been sent.

Anyway, I opened the box up and took one out. I nibbled the end off it, and nothing happened. Proclaiming my disappointment over the lack of hotness, I decided to eat the whole darn thing.

Nothing for about 5 seconds.

Well F*@£ my old boots. I have NEVER, EVER experienced ANYTHING like that before. I couldnt do ANYTHING with my mouth for the rest of the night. Saliva burnt my throat. Teeth burning, gums on fire, and tongue positively exploding. I spent a lot of the evening swilling milk in me gob.

They are brilliant :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright:

Jesus Clive. You are mad.

I often catch people out by eating the end tip of a chilli and then saying "see it is not hot at all - now you try".
But that bottom tip is the mildest part of the chilli. It gets hotter the further up you go. ;)

Funnily enough, the southern region was, and is fine. No payback via the butt crack. They are fantastic. I am trying to devise a culinary delight that I can lace with the little buggers. I think a nice chilli con carne with some home made garlic bread. Once I have had a good old helping, I'll wait till Siobhan is asleep and I'll dutch oven her I think. She will get to taste them one way or another by jove.
