E38 or E49

the former had the 3 speed gearbox the latter the 4 speed and a big number 4 on the front wing balckout to show off.

both had same 265 engine apart from E49 had a longer duration cam with different phasing to make use of the box

it topped out at 302BHP and can do a standing 1/4 these days on modern tyres in mid 13 seconds..... which is alright..

wheel spin or clutch slip off the line...few would side step the clutch on $200-300Ks worth of car

rarest one to have would be E49 track pack with big 36 gallon tank....

you can get on board with an E37 or E48........still need dig deep mind any thing with a genuine sixpack setup is limited availability and expensive
i.e E38s and E49 don't get sold to none Chrysler club members....its rares to see them advertised on the open market

Base-Model (702) E37 (??) E48 (5) E38 (314) E49 (145)

it is thought that they made 1300 cars but the E37 engine option got optioned into more than just RTs

E37 E48 was the same engine and not quite as good as the E38/E49

all these engines got selected block rods cranks pistons etc
shot peined hardend cranks and cams fully floating piston pins forged sprockets bigger balancer etc

ah yes they did

but i don't think they were classed as RTs

although they were in all but name as you could option in everything but the big 36 gallon tank.

Its not a lethal weapon or "bullet on wheels" in the hands of a 17 year old if if doesn't have RT stickers on it....
