Jerry and Marcs 74 Duster race car

Post by Anonymous »

Well we've bought another car, to run while we're doing the beeper, with the dollar been so poor at the moment, anyway thats a different story...
We've known about this car for a while it was sat in the corner of a mates workshop gathering dust, Its a full tube chassis, the chassis was built by Andy Robinson, the cage was done by a previous owner, modified Leda front struts, 95% Fiberglass, 0nly the roof and screen pillars are steel, no rear axle but set up for ladder bars, we've got a dana 44 on its way narrowed by Hauser, we'll be installing Brutus's old 440 in the car for low maintenance, and to be easy on parts, all the tin iseither installed or ready to be installed, we hope to have the car out for the 1st round of super stock at york,
Just ordered a new hood and 11inch aero scoop from Dale for it too,

That looks like Alans Old Duster, I know Andy did some corrective work on the car, wasnt aware he did the chassis

Alan had it for years, remember he was planning to run it with a set of B1's he had aquired.

Be good to see it again after all those years :thumbright:

Can't think of his last name @ the moment. He was always selling Mopar Stuff, I'm sure you would know him.

Last time I spoke to him, he was getting out of car stuff & getting into Bike stuff.
His name will come to me & wil post later

Great to see what goes into race cars from the ground up! :thumbright:
24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not…

Cheers Guys, Ivor it is light as it sits at the moment 2 of us can lift it clear off the floor,
Trev its the pointy one but pretty sure he has moulds for the flat fronted one, although there was an ad on Eurodragster other day for glass duster parts
