Crikey Dave that's a good one.

So you either need a loading bay you can drive the car onto so the truck can be backed on it at the port.

Or if you can get a recovery vehicle your end, you could just drive from one truck to the other. Sounds odd but I've seen it done before!

I sold a Capri that went to Irland the deal was, he made the shipping arrangements. :?

He flew over and met me at Liverpool.

Mr bad guy or not!!"! i got a 25% deposit via paypal before the car moved then if anything happened and he didnt turn up. I wouldnt be out of pocket!

If he's buying other stuff... Why isnt he organised. :?

Fair play to you, David, you're being very good to the bloke, but I got to say it's a lot of hastle for you. Shouldn't he be sourcing a ramp before he gets there? It's not like it's the kind of thing you can handball at a push! :lol:

You're already driving it all the way to Holyhead for him. I think you've been very good about it all already, unless he's a friend. ;)

Hope you get sorted so you can forget about it and enjoy the money. Is there a bar on the ferry for the way back? :D

This is stupid.

You agreed to get it to holyhead. That's where your responsibility ends. The new owner is a nugget if he can't organise a REAL transport company to collect the car.
Or why the hell doesn't he DRIVE the car home? Is he one of these soft southerners that is scared to drive more than 20 miles outside of the M25 or something?

Jesus. I picked my Challenger up from Tottenham and drove it 300 miles back to Newcastle. It had not ran for at least 8 years and had just had a "freshen up" on the engine. It was not registered and still on one Texas plate. No tax. No MOT. No working turn signals due to electrical faults.

Best drive I ever had. :thumbright:

I parked right behind a motorway patrol car in a lay-by and although the copper looked at the car (and the lack of a front number plate must have been very evident) he never said a word. ;)
