Funny you should say that, Dunc.

I just posted this on the Classic Mustang forum.

"Not quite racing, but this is a Shell Yellow Ford Falcon XY GTHO Phase3, worth, at the the time the photo was taken, between 350-400k Australian dollars, being driven across the Nullabor Plain to the Ford Falcon GT Nationals in Perth.

The drive took a few days and was over 1500 miles... just to attend a show, and on the way a chance was taken to recreate a very famous road test photo from back in the day. (HO down the Hume)

351 Cleveland, top loader, 3.25 gears, 6500rpm and 140mph plus ...

These were the fastest four door cars in the world ...."

Great shot.
Fuel gauge is showing game over. And not even a McDs in sight.

7,000 kms (both ways) for a car show, by road, in the Australian equivalent of a 70 hemi 'cuda (but far more rare).

Fantastic pictures Sandy...I hate to ask you this, but I have to ask for Aesthetic reasons, did they make a two door version?

I'm sure they are impressive performers, but they still looks like a Mk2 Cortina to me.

Sorry :D
