I was in HMV and i saw that the original Star Trek series is out again on DVD but remastered

and i do not just mean cleaned up etc they have done new special effects

i do not think this will appeal to me as i liked the dated and low budget look of the original

so i wont be buying it,i have the old ones anyway
Just curious but has anyone seen any of these remastered ones?
Its the Same for the Star Wars trilogy for me, i much pref ere the original films with puppets rather than the Computer generated versions.
I want things to be EXACTLY like i remember them warts and all!

I'm surprised Duncan has not said anything yet

not the coolest thing to admit.
I'm only into the original to be honest, but i can watch the later ones, the one i like best of the new stuff is the DS9 one.

Went to see the new Wolverine film yesterday & they did the new Trek trailer ... I liked the original but am salivating more at the new one. Also, re-mastering can go all kinds of wrong ...

Loved the original series, no time at all for the films or the spin off's. The fact that the original was all a bit '60's kitsch was a huge part of the appeal for me, it doesn't need buggering about with CGI. I hate CGI, give me Ray Harryhausen any day.
