Well, now that my car is done and the workshop thread has come to a close, I just thought I would post some final pictures taken on the morning of Brookie 2009, but not before I made mention of some people who made this car happen for me.

Duncan Watts: Genuinely decent bloke who has helped me out with loads of obscure parts that I thought I would really struggle to get over the years.

Paul Davey for the same reason, a wealth of knowledge on restoration information and helped me no end with sourcing parts.

Neil Willet, Pete Wiseman, Jim Chandler and a whole host of others who have helped me with parts. Chris at WASP, who I discovered late in the day and was a very helpful person to deal with. Andy Elston for the laughs and chat provided along the way, and help in providing info on stuff for the car. Derek, Scott Carter and John for all their help along the way

The MMA committee, and its members for support and encouragement.

Jim Wilson for giving me the advice on where to get my car restored, which leads me neatly into the last, but by no means least person for thanking.

John Castleman and the whole team at JC Auto Refinishing. Doing a car this way for me was a one time, not to be repeated deal. Something I always wanted to do since owning my first yank at 19, but was only going to do once. They took the car that I loved and transformed it into something better than I could have ever expected. Cheers guys, great to be on the receiving end of your work.

Looking back over the pictures posted below makes me very happy, and I really appreciate everything all those I have mentioned and those I forgot to mention (apologies) have done by supporting the cause.

Its great attending a show in a Mope, it was absolutely fantastic remembering how much fun it is to go to, and home from an event, as well as actually be at the event. Getting to and from in a group is such a cool feeling.

Cheers all, you made me a happy bloke :thumbright:

Brilliant, Clivey, I am really made up for you :thumbright:

Can JPC re-finishing do something about that ugly mug; it lets the whole car down ;) ;)

Look forward to seeing the car at the Nats.

Hey Clivey, you got any pre-restoration piccies? I've no idea what it looked like before JC got their hands on it.

Hi Clive

Was good to catch up with you at the show. The car looks stunning, no where near the car I saw a couple of years ago in the barn.

Well done

good to see you and your other half too Jason. So, you saw the old girl at her very worst and her very best. It is a real shock. It looked really bad.

I went up to the garage again tonight to have a look at her. Pulled the blankets back and hey presto. I just can't believe its mine. I get a lazy lob just looking at it. :D :D :D

It looks awesome Clivey. I'm so pleased for you.

But could you re-paint it something other than white? It plays havoc with my auto-focus :D

Hows the Coronet, did you get the electrical issue resolved?
