I owed a 2.3 Firenza & viva GT, both with tweeks and a port injected NOS kit on.
My mate had a droop snoop. vauxhalls were popular back when I was 16/17.

Have you all forgotten mine? I had a Droop Snoot Firenza as well. Only 209 of them ever made, 1 LHD. Great car and really quick! Kill of any of those namby pamby 3000cc Capris! :thumbright:

Here is my old one... Please don't confuse a Firenza with a droop snoot Firenza. Totally different cars!
I am keeping this Mopar....... SOLD!

Yeh I lived in Alma road :) Only ran a 15.4 (1981) blew a head gasket.
The viva GT blew the clutch on its only strip outing...had very little money and just wizzed about on the road

Thats a droop snoop (firenzaHP) next to my viva in the pic. My firenza was a 2.0 SL but bought a 2.3 out of a d/snoop, 45 webers, janspeed, blydenstein head and a 3.7 axle off an 1800. 1256 front springs for weight transfer
The viva was much quicker, few more mods on the 2.3, cresta 3.3 overdrive on 3rd/4th. talk is cheap but 14s if i could have sorted it out.
It was bought by 'fat' fred who now runs that mental pro mod 7 second thingy...ford body...think its a granada shell....small world.
NOS button on side of the shifter...not good in a stick car

Yep, I remember now. I know Fred and probably most of the other car guys around there at the time. Was it a brother of yours that had a Cougar with a tunnel ram or was that someone else?

I thought a droop snoot firenza was just a 2 door viva with a nose cone. Yes its rare but the 2.3 OHC slant 4 is a bit weak. A 3000 capri produced 130 bhp and the firenza a lot less. A Chevette HSR with the Lotus derived head is a whole different ball game. what is so special about them apart from rarity? Me doing gardening is a rarity but it dont mean im any good at it. :D
