I still cant believe you could walk into a showroom and buy cars like this. Must have been amazing to see them on the roads. I read somewhere that not long after they were introduced, the insurance on them went through the roof and dealers struggled to sell them, even at reduced, below cost price. Guess we would all spend $2000 on one now!
