just re read (again!) his excellent book Michigan Madman.
If you have not heard of, or read, this book, get yerself a copy right now!
Not only does it chronicle his mental Chevy V8 drag bikes (rev it to 5000rpm then knock it off it's stand and smoke the 1/4), it also takes you through his Allison engined drag cars (Plymouth and Dart), his jet trike, Allison engined tractor pullers, messing with big jet engines in his back yard. All the calamities and goofing about are there and it is all written with a laugh out loud wit and style not usually associated with our American buddies! (No offence intended!). A few strange chapters at the end about Africa/South America and China are a bit lame, but don't let that put you off.
