At last my new wheels !

Post by Dart Vader »

See the pic of my new wheels, shame 3 are Chrysler and one was a Chevy pattern, anyway that should get sorted.

I'm really pleased as I like the Rallye pattern and want to keep the Dart stock looking. Anything was better than the nasty UFO sized hub caps on the car before !!

Yes, I know its only held on with two studs and the centre cap didnt come with any screws or bolts so how do they attach to the wheels?

The centre caps screw on from behind with shallow headed bolts. The originals were a self tapping bolt of (guessing) 1/4" diameter I think???
Maybe smaller.

I thought your car was a '70 model though? Those are '71 centre caps.

Depends on what you mean by dog dish, they did a little dish about 10 inches across but mine had the full monty 14 inchers !!

They were standard on the car....!!

I think Justin had proper covers not just caps. Bit like was on the Valliant in the film Duel:

Think your car Sam looks great!

Also those caps you have on yours are bloody hard to come by unless you spend a few $$$!
If you do get rid put em up on here first (me likey)! 8-)

Yeah that's right, did know they are pretty rare and worth a penny or two.

But still not sure. Need to have a proper look with them off.
