second picture is at a car show they use to have at a school in Tonbridge wells 1992,
other is at brands hatch 93 , got a better picture at brands somewhere , will post it here when & if I find it

Its getting its stripes today after some aggro over the paint supplier sending out the wrong satin black, third time lucky. Most of its coming home Sunday, wife not looking forward to its return as much as me....some people have no imagination

Will post up some homecoming shots after I have bolted on some nice bits of glitter.

Dave, all you need is some texture and matting additive (I used R-M or Glasurit, I think) in the black to achieve the original Organosol effect on the performance hood treatment and it achieves the exactly the right effect, which looks stunning against the top coat or clear.

Thanks Ivor, but he didn't feel confident he could reproduce the original effect so I compromised with the satin finish. It all came out a bit Pete Tong in the end, not matt enough for me and lots of debris in it on closer inspection. Just want the car back now, then I will decide what to do with the bonnet after, might not look to bad in the daylight.

Yep I can see that's a soft satin, with little or no texture, nothing wrong with that!

However, if you end up not being happy with it, I played around with the matt/texture mix, so I can always help out you or your painter with a formulation.

Here's a close up of mine so you can see the difference...but frankly I've seen dozens of variations in gloss level and texture and as long as it's not shiny, they look great!

It returned home Sunday and I got to spend best part of the sunny day fitting it up with shiny bits, Wife not speaking to me though! Caused a bit of a stir in my sleepy Village being bright orange, a lot of visitors, fair play to Rich at C.A.R, its a cracking job. Couldn't resist swapping the old Mag 500 for the new ones. Managed to get some of the engine bay plumbed in, brake lines tonight.
