Thankfully not, by the look of it. There's been many a nice RR or GTX lost/spoiled by going that route.... :? ;)
True Rob but I have to admit I would be tempted as a SB or Daytona are my ultimate car and it would be the only way I could have one even though it would be faux.
To which you would be slapped repeatedly (well on the SB anyway).

Ma Mopars best ever grill design should not be hidden! :D :thumbright:

Can't wait to see this car in person........Could be one of the best in the club! Keep up the good work! :thumbright:

Brake lines and foot brake now in as well as the rear bumper. Just spent a pleasant hour or so replacing the Talbot Horizon style target sight with a tic toc tac. Still waiting for the dash loom to arrive, its in customs according to USPS, so maybe the dash can go back in this weekend :)

Quick update, headlining guy bailed, so thought I would have a go myself. Mistakes were made  but I think I can live with it, not pointing it out to anyone! The wrinkles may drop out with a little heat from a hair dryer, hopefully, but its not tooooo bad for a rank amateur job. Still may get another and wait until Feb when the trimmer can visit.

Rear inner window trim has gone missing, not fitted when I got the car, but old photos show a black trim over the teeth, anyone got one going spare???

Brake lines in and engine harness in place. Dash going in as next job.

Another update, put in the dash, engine and transmission. Going to finish off fitting the rad, carb and steering then on to the front suspension rebuild along with the Wilwood disc upgrade.

Thanks for the comments, I want to get it finished for spring/summer.

Steve,

It only looks like I know what I am doing! Never had a Mopar before and putting the engine in this was a bit different to putting one in a Monogram kit. Near death experience when my Dad was helping being put in charge of the hoist and was dropping the body on to the engine, I was watching for clearance, moving the k member from side to side to line the mountings up, when the pressure let go on the hoist for the last 2ft. Clean underwear and an new dipstick tube required!!!

At the moment I am also restoring my Dads 1960 mk2 Jag, my car is a walk in the park compared to that bloomin car, talk about overly complicated, it took me a day just to put the dash wood in! There again, never done a Jag before either, Triumphs can be done in my sleep, but they are a lot harder to light up the back tyres.

Cheers Dave C

After all the intake problems, Ade came to the rescue with the correct dual plane manifold with a casting date within two weeks of the cars production, with is a nice touch. Now it all fits and the hood shuts without the trap door opening, a nice mornings work. Before anyone points it out, I know its not the correct Coyote Duster logo, but seeing as this is a 440 HP motor out of a '69 and not a '70 its right and I like it better!!!

On to the steering and suspension next.
