I am going to put a 71 gull wing on, and I HAVE the tape on the deck lid ,have all the measurements laid out , measured again, waited a day ,looked at it again measured, had the drill in my hand, some one showed up , I STILL have not drilled the holes yet,I am scared  I should get it done by the end of the week,I hope

I ALSO have a T/A rear spoiler with an extra deck lid for my chally I HAVE NOT DONE THAT EITHER

Ok I got the drill out, mounted the rear wing, and also drilled some reference holes to help relocate the fenders after removal.

I also borrowed a spitznagel to pull some creases in the door.

and installed the hood pins ,I didnt like the sag in the front of the hood it didnt meet the header panel properly,

so I used a suspension bumper, made it adjustable so it will hold the hood up and the pins hold down the edges,I can live with this now since this my third hood I can deal with the minor warp 8-)

Block sanding, hard work but it must be done. being sure to keep the lines crisp,I used painters tape on the lines to keep the sanding edge.

I removed the shipping primer, some people will just scuff it and paint over it.

but I noticed alot of in consistency in the thickness and quality,I dont want my paint to lift knowing my luck.

some of it came right off with the long board ,and some had to be removed with a DA sander.

Just a few pix
