Well, I should be able to work something out with this little lot!
Plan is: Get the original 18.5" tyres fitted to the ally rims, this time with no tubes and with the paint dots correctly aligned with the valves, lets see if that helps the balancing!
I'll get the ET Streets fitted to the new chrome rims and sell the Kelly Superchargers. At 27" diameter they'd throw the gearing out.
The new Cragars are pretty old so have the usual rot hidden by black paint. Not too bad though, it mostly polished out.

That aside, they would be bottom-clenchingly scary in the wet!

Well this is a perfectly legal bike tyre.
There's NO legal requirement for any specific amount of tread pattern on a tyre other than that the pattern (however minimal) extends across at least 75% of the overall width of the tyre. There is NOTHING to say how big the gaps between each tread pattern must be.
My tyres are DOT marked which makes them legal for road use in the U.S. There's nothing marked on them to state that this does not apply to the U.K.
This site has about the most comprehensive guide I've found http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyreinfo.html
YES I KNOW THEY'LL BE SCARY IN THE RAIN. My car has no paint so that's not something I make a habit of!!
If I get caught out in rain, I don't see a problem with pootling home at 40mph if I have to.
I appreciate all comments and that you're concern is for my safety, etc but these tyres really are street legal. REALLY!!

They are legal in the usa dot is the standard in the usa
Uk and Europa need to have a e in a circle the e mark
I did in my younger days sand off for racing only and make an e mark with hot punch set and hot round punch.
I also had demon tweaks cut smile faces in my tread. They will cut tread in slicks and it was cheap but was 8 years ago
Every time a copper pulled me over he was more interested about the flamer kit I had fitted with petrol and at one point a gas injection kit
I was running 13x10 slick on the road
but this was on the back of a mini with a 998cc engine
I would put any wheels on the back then when you get there swap over
Sunny day on my own yeah
