Thanks Ivor , slowly i am getting close to the end game ..I decided to build a complete wiring loom copying the factory loom as close as possible so it looks stock .....When i find a spare couple of days the engine is going of to be built by DaveB.....and that should be about it ,,,,,,,its been an epic adventure one i am in no way going to repeat again ......its not perfect by a long shot but it does look chuffing cool in the flesh

I brought the whole top end as a kit from Mancinis some time ago when they had a deal on it so it sort of come as is no choice ,,,,..But if the bug gets me we shall see were it goes ....I think in hindsight i should have used the MW heads but that would have meant bigger carbs cam and the budget gets shafted again ..So lets see were it goes form here Blue ,, who knows i certainly dont and i own it ?????

It’ll be fast enough to be fun with the option of turning up the wick a bit if you wanted to.

Hi Pete, good to see more progress :thumbright:

Healthy numbers too, must be the cam! Our MW gave 450hp / 500tq with stock rebuild with just a hyd cam instead of solid and lower compression (10.2:1 instead of 11.1:1)

Do you know what model Eddys you have - are they 1405?

If so, do you know if you're going to have the same fuel line routing, carb inlet positions and linkages as stock? Did Dave have to mod anything to get the carbs to fit? I've read the lowest part of the carb's linkage has to be trimmed off to fit above the inlet; unless you're going manual valve body, then it can be removed :-k

We're looking at getting a couple of Eddys to use while we get our Carters sorted, so ideally want a straight-swap :-k

Thanks :D

Old pic for reference ;)

Looking closer, I can see that the Edelbrocks have a different fuel inlet position so we'd have to make a couple of new fuel lines
I just hope the throttle and kickdown linkages are the same [-o<

They are edlebrock performer 600 , jetted purely for this set up stateside ...cam is a Hughes stl4650bs3-8 it is about 588 lift mechanical .I invested in some good lifters that have small holes drilled in the bottom for oil the valve springs are Pac Springs .Rods are Molnar stock replacement ,pistons are JE not sure what ones Dave dealt with that ,,heads were a good find a set of untouched almost mint 915s , I chucked some money at them as in bigger valves ,bronze guides porting etc ...Rockers are max wedge cast iron which are very tricked up with bronze bushes hardened shafts etc ,,,,,,they were an indulgance and came from a serious SS racer in Sweden .....Block is just a 440 30 over with main studs and half inch oil pick up ...fuel lines came with the kit i brought in and Dave dealt with them so i am not sure if those were adapted ...Mopar distributer ..

My limited knowledge would suggest with a few tweeks ie bigger carbs ,better dizzy and some good headers it would make 500 give or take a horse ..I am happy considering its not stroked or ali headed and when its painted up and got its correct rockers on and filters it should look the nuts ...It will have a 4000 stall converter to get it moving and a Mr Blue built box ...So i am hoping for mid elevens without ripping the teeth out of it ...Still lots to do yet but i am aiming for Dragstalgia and failing that the Mopars
