Great work. Those front hangers look a good bit of kit, especially with the back plate to brace it up.

Xmas is a rare occasion were i find that i have a bit of spare time ...Car never had an emergency brake or hand brake whatever you call them these days and the new floor came without the cable brackets so a bit of a mock up and a few spot welds later and we have the start of a handbrake cable ....few updates coming over the next few days as i strip out all the running gear to prep for chassis paint...Not sure if the cable goes in the bottom hole or top in last photo ,

Cable looks like it's right where you have it to me Pete, it's running in a pretty straight line which is what you want.

Thanks Blue ,be in touch straight after xmas about the box ...need to keep hold of it for a few weeks for a mock up ...These 64s have a disliking to some boxes I have been told so I have got to find out what year it is so I can get the correct mount for the crossmember I have ,,,The crossmember it came with had been butchered to fit .I have since landed the correct one for the year but it does not like the gearbox I have ...I know why the old one was butchered now LOL ...anyways its a solvable problem with some googling until then have a good xmas and a healthy new year

Pretty sure the later boxes bolt straight in to the early mount. If your current mount has been butchered to fit, I think I know why. The early B bodies have the engine mounted 2 inches further forward meaning expensive headers. Later K frames bolt straight in, move the engine back 2 inches giving better weight distribution and any of the cheaper later headers fit. The upshot of doing that is the gearbox mount is now 2 inches further back so the crossmember needs modification to fit. This is how Jem's car was.
