This isn't for many of you guys as the major job here was replacing the bushings that fit between the K frame and chassis.
Some 73' up cars like my Roadrunner have these isolated bushings. After 40 years they are rotted out and the car almost drives floating about on top of the perished bushings.
I purchased a set of Energy Suspension eurothane bushings and also di the front sway bar and front strut rods too.

Replacement job is labour intensive and my garage has pretty much become a gym for the past 3 weeks!

To get the old bushes out and new ones in you have to pry the K frame away from the chassis. Need to drop the torsion bars to loosest setting to have ay choice. Unlike some, I didn't need to break the upper control arm ball joints which was a relief!
I worked out pretty quickly that the old bush can be sawn out of place with care. They have a steel centre piece that stops them being prised out.
I won't go into the whole saga unless anyone is going to do this job.
A quick test drive told me that the job was worthwhile straight away. Car wanders less, lurches less and just feels so much firmer. I also did the rear leaf springs which also have soft bushings around where the clamp goes.

Job for life, I reckon.
Some of the Mopar guys use aluminium ones, but reports tend to note that the car is too firm and turns into a 17' Duster :)
The bushes I have fitted are probably three times stronger than the originals.
Definitely worth doing :thumbright:
