My MK2 Jag with a difference.....

Here's a few photos of my Mk2 Jag in its current state of build. As per my introduction I'm not into doing standard / factory / concours correct and have always modified everything that I've owned. With a Mk2 Jag there's not much you can actually do though.... but as I like race car themes and the sound of American V8's the marriage of the two ideas finally came together. Bodywork has been 100% sorted, so no rust. Engine is a Ford 302 with C4 auto, standard Jag back axle with VW Golf calipers and Wilwood disc brakes on the front, custom stainless headers and exhaust, Serck aluminium race radiator, custom rewired, fuel cell and a race style stripped out interior.....Sounds awesome with the side exit exhausts..... Just need to find time to finish fitting all the windows, few bits of trim, grille and paint the bumpers and away we go....

Looks great, im with you on the mess about and modify. Will certainly ruffle feathers amongst the rivet counters at classic shows. Brilliant.

Haha, yeah, can't wait to turn up and open the bonnet :D

The 302 fitted in with no body mods at all, almost looks factory original !
The credit for the workmanship goes to an amazing hot rod fabricator in the South West called Zane Llewellyn. His fabrication, welding skills and attention to detail are amazing.... I'll post some more pics in due course...

Very nice job that is. I'm the same I have to modify everything I get my hands on oneway or another.

Small block fits in nice which it should as the Damiler 250 had a 2.5 V8 anyway, mate of mine had one and its a Hemi :D
