Autocar compare Stingray, Audi R8, Porsche 911, Jag F-type

Post by Dave-R »

With a bargain price tag and supercar performance, the Corvette C7 Stingray has rebooted the iconic American sports car.

But can it compete with Europe's best: the Audi R8, Porsche 911 and Jaguar F-type?

No.

The Steering wheel is on the wrong size.

For this reason alone it will never be taken seriously in the UK.

Superb car, though.......

Wrong side even.

But you are right Pete. You just have to read the comments on Pistonheads you see frequently about "don't think I could drive a left hand drive although I have never tried" and "you just can't drive LHD cars on UK roads" etc.

Crazy really that its almost £20k cheaper than the next car on the test list.

Only thing for me that does detract are the accents on the Dash........ :?

I like the red seats, but do not think that the rest suit it.

Be interesting to see the other colours available to see if other than black suits it!!!

Would still love one though!

Would also be good for them to see what happens in the first year in regards depreciation. I bet the C7 is probably very well protected vs the Porsche!!!!

Great car, love it, will never have the 'snob' appeal of the flat cap 'Clarkson brigade(!), wait for Z06

I would like one very much, I do not think you could ever beat that for 'bang for the buck'.

Thanks for posting.
