Gears are deffo the way to go but you will hit a Hp and rpm limit, depending on how tall a slick you can get on your car, especially on big cube motors with 900ft lbs torque and max hp at just over 6000rpm, then it all goes back the other way and can become a problem of finding pro gears that are under 4.10's
