What got you in to Mopars?

Post by GJUK »

... I mean they're not really 'the norm' when it comes to cars here the UK. Why did you decide to get in to them and possibly even buy one?

Just curious :)

Walking into Gary Mill's garage in the early 80's and seeing that 1970 Hemicuda convertible for the first time. Took my breath away it was so cool.

Being dragged since birth to about 15 years of age , to the pod. Virtually every meeting each year.
Just fell in love with the big Dodges and Plymouths.
Didn't know it was a Mopar thing till later.
Always wanted one but couldn't afford either the car or insurance.
My truck came up cheap. Fell in love ......... :D

My lad had (still has) a hot wheels Dodge Demon and along with many others I wrongly thought it was just another fictitious hot wheels car.

Then I saw one in the flesh and had to have one ( who knows what would have happened if I'd seen a hot wheels "The Dominator!!) lol

Couple this with a series of chance events and here I am now.

In essence I didn't set out to be a MOPAR fan but I'm blinkin' glad I am now :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright:

NO! It's got dual quads and is halfway across the Atlantic right now.

The V8 bug started at Santa Pod at about age 11. Not sure why Mopars really, the Good Ol' Boys definitely helped!
In the end, I just looked around for a car and the Mopes were cooler, simple as that 8-)

This. A thousand times this. Yeehaa ! I dont care - I still love it all...
Its not a mopar thing for me, I can appreciate all marques. Its a charger thing; it just happens to be a mopar. If it was ford, chevy, buick - whatever - I would still have been after one.
