:iagree:

I understand that the event needs to grow etc, but if more classes are added will it not turn into a big ££££ drag event with Mopar/yank show n shine on the outside?

Could it be arranged that ALL the above classes run Fri & Sat morning first thing, leaving the afternoons & Sunday for RWYB. Could the Jet car be dropped and the burnout contest be moved to the drift area to help maximise track time for the regular yank owner?

Just ideas to try and help maximise track time for Ma Mopars men.....:thumbright:

I love the event and will attend as always, just hope it doesn't change too much over the next few and move away from what it was when I started attending in 2009! 8-)

It was nice to watch a bit of the Pro Mods and Top Sportsman Classes but must admit I for one got a bit bored with all the stop, starts with all the oil downs, it seed as though we were waiting 10-15 mins a time for one car to do a run, took a lot of fun out of it for me. How many RWYB cars could of gone through in that time?

To me its all about Joe average running his car and hoping to beat his PB after spending all year and his hard earned to get another second out the car. I know its not all about the racing at the end of the day, its the whole event atmosphere, the bands, getting together for a drink and a drink and another drink bit of car chat then a drink and maybe a drink or two, then climbing out the sleeping bag and out the tent every 10 minutes during whats left of the night before you pish yourself.

Yep, but no doubt it's also about putting bums on seats, the paying public expect some sort of spectacle and the event needs to make money to continue, it is a commercial venture after all. Just need to get the balance right to keep the majority happy I guess, nobody enjoys hanging around the fire up road forever.
