I never said I needed a break.... Everything is fine here. Petrol is 45p a litre, the weather is wonderful, my family are here, I have a driveway full of cars, and more work I can shake a stick at.
But thanks Derek, this is a big move for me, as well as a risk. But moving here was a big risk. Gotta take risks, or what is the point? Don't want to be stuck in the same old place my whole life. Lived and worked in 3 countries now. And have some great memories, and hopefully a lot more to come. My wife gave up work on Saturday. So we will hopefully have more free time.
I could not wait to get out of the UK a few weeks ago, it seems so different there now. Perhaps it is me that is different. I do miss the beer, and friends and family. Nothing else though.
And in a couple of months we will be Canadian citizens. And our first Canadian born will be arriving! Lots to look forward to.
Joe has a great job, billy working at the guild, as a welder and fabricator, he has just finished a 1960 rolls Royce. They are sending him backed to college to get his mechanics licence. He will then have two licences. Good times!
