Wondering if any of the valiant owners are thinking of going to the Ace cafe Australia Day event/meet on the 24th of January ?

I usually try to get there, work shifts allowing. it will probably be in the new(er) Holden.

Hadn't thought about it. But, good point - will ask the boss if she doesn't mind having the children for the day (that will go down well!).

got there about 11.30 and it was nearly empty, pretty disappointing, everybody must had had a sunday roast to go home too

We had to park outside on the road as it was full at 1030. most do get their early and go before lunch. Did you see the Big Bopper Falcon?

no missed the falcon unfortunately

will get up a bit earlier next time

there was one orange xr8 there and plenty of vauhall/holdens

so as a blue oval guy i had to keep my mouth shut !

Here's a few photos a mate took, good to meet Dave and Pete, I was feeling pretty crook unfortunately so not on particularly good form, left about 11:30 I think. Most appear to get there real early so they get a spot, then head off before lunch it appears.

I think its the Citroen AMI 8 club directly afterwards

and he always turns up early

ace cafe had it 9 to 4.30 with best dressed aussie awards at 3.30 from memory
