Thought i would do a bit of an update with whats happened to my Duster. Back in April(ish) Ash Rawson (Ash on here, also APRBodyworks) took my car for a full respray. Just got it back yesterday but the car had a full baremetal paint job, with all the rust and rot cut out, all panels leveled and painted in Black, as well as having the black vinyl top installed, dash sprayed and some engine work such as a new carb and intake. Very pleased and the work is superb, the car drove like a dream when i took it out yesterday and today.

I Did have the stripe kit but it ended up being pretty bad quality and i actually really like the look of the car without the stripe.

Had a nice drive today which ended in disaster. Ever since i bought the car there has been a small overheating issue, but i have never driven it too long for it to get that bad, today the rad overflow tube shot of the housing and steaming hot water was sprayed over the engine bay, i limped the car to the nearest town, let it cool down, filled up with some water to get home but ended up sat on the side of the road for about 4 hours. The bloke from the RAC said i had made his day with this kind of car, and reckons its the head gasket gone, which i had suspected. Was hoping to enjoy the new paint job but will have to wait a little while yet.

Blimey, that is a bit "bittersweet".

The car looks stunning, I would have killed fora car that nice at your age.

I am sure you will work the problem and get the motor sorted in due course.

Fantastic work by Ashley as ever 8-)

Duster looks fantastic. I would do some tests to determine exactly what is causing the overheating problem.

Saw the build up pics on Ash's FB site, looks awesome mate. Least you have the winter months to sort the engine.
