Advice on Shift Lights

Post by Pete »

I want to install a Shift Light on the Barracuda, as amongst other things, my eyesight is failing and I can't see the silly little lamp on the Monster Tach.

Does anyone know of a Shift Light that connects into the Monster Tach so it is triggered via the tach, and therefore I do not have to get any more damn MSD "Pills" and it remains a "variable" Shift as opposed to one rpm level only.

I called Real Steel and they were unable to help - any guidance and suggestions where I can get one in advance of the Nats please ?

Many thanks.

Hi Dave, the Tach is an Auto Meter Sport-Comp "Monster" Tach, I think the model number is 3903.

It works into an MSD 6AL unit with 7000 rpm High rev limit, and a variable secondary unit for Launch control.

Well it says the 3903 is a shift light tach so you must be able to wire up a light to it somehow?
