corvette side pipes for MOT

Are these sides pipes legal for MOT? Mate would like them for his corvette. There don't appear to be any heat shields on the pipes which is his concern.

We would pass and advise.
Broken,Sharp Edges,Insecure,Too Noisy,and Leaking would be the reasons for rejection.
Looks like it might fail the smoke test though.

Exhaust is not supposed to exit curb side either. You'll probably upset the tester when he gets out of the car and burns his leg on 'em though....
Provided they are leak free and not too loud I reckon you'll be fine.

If they are the hooker ones you normally have to order the mufflers insert as well as they don't come with them ( or at least they didn't in the past ) I sold a set to a customer once and he said they were a tad loud without them..

Surprised the pipes aren't allowed to exit kerb side when the Morgan Aero 8 has side pipes?
