thank you all very much for the positive comments, I really appreciate it.
I took it to the Nats, and came back with a trophy for best restomod , I really didn't expect that , but chuffed to bits,
so a big thank you to the committee who thought it worthy
oh..and got in classic American
I also talked myself into a number plate,
have to be honest don't normally do vanity plates , but I had to get it.
which brings me on to finally getting a six pack bonnet, did a bit of research to find a good quality one and quite happy with the one I got,
also got the right style air cleaner base, but the two don't want to fit together and will require a bit of work,
thing I really like about the bonnet, the back is as nice as the front, and as close to the original as possible,

took a while to get it to fit like I wanted but really happy with the overall look,
even made up some tent poles for displaying at shows,
not sure how well they will stand up at 70..... LOL

well ive not updated in a while,
put yellow main beam lights in, always liked the look of the racers and street races that used them in the 60's
also got a replica air cleaner base, the problem was it was for a single skin bonnet not a double, so a yard out to fit,
a good friend of mine is a great body man, he reworked it till it was a perfect fit to the bonnet,
and finally fitted steel 15" wheels, a bit wider than what would have come as stock, but again i reaaly like the look it now has,
with the bolt on stuff, might chop and change more in the future,

Looks really good Jay!!!
Only thing that sticks out slightly for me is that it seems to be sitting slightly high at the front....Not sure if its just the suspension needs to settle!
