Nice upgrade, looks like that 1350 can take a lot more abuse

Just need to fab a new firewall plate and the column is done.

Nice. How’s the shifter cover coming on, any progress on that?

Looking forward to seeing that.

Re: Blue's Barracuda
Other than the cast bezels at the top, everything has been tidied up and lightened.

Re: Blue's Barracuda
Found a couple of hours Today to finish off fabbing up the shifter cover. Bit more finessing and it can be riveted together for the next stage.

Wow, that looks neat work, you'll be restoring aircraft next. Those rivets look like they were borrowed from Duxford!

Re: Blue's Barracuda
Yes Aircraft skin pins, excellent for temporary assembly. Cover is at this stage now, and column bulkhead cover is done.

Re: Blue's Barracuda
I used some half round styrene from a modelling supplier to add the edge detail. It bends easily to shape with a hot air gun and a bit of care, weatherstrip adhesive seems to stick it to ally easily enough. Just need to do some finishing off and then I can take a mould off it.

Re: Blue's Barracuda
That looks great, Blue. How are you going to take a mould? Vacuum form?
