Bloomin wiper failure

Post by Hemimad »

On the back from a show the car threw another one at me. This time the wipers suddenly stopped working. Not a major problem as rain was light, however it's MOT time so I have to investigate. The wipers move by hand and the motor spins fine, so it's the pivot linkage. This is an A/C car so access is restricted, first check was the motor to crank, that's fine so it's the impossible to get too crank to pivot. 7 hrs later groping in the dark with bloodied arms and hands finally retrieved all the components. Decided to remove the crank from the motor to make reassembly easier at the pivot end only to find that the retaining clip is worn, the hole has ground as big as the slip hole so it won't stay in the groove. Any ideas where to get a replacement, I've looked at Yearone and Classic Industries, no joy anyone got a spare knocking about??
