Yeah, we expected the worst too but if we all play it safe no one would turn up... it's our event as Derek quite rightly reminds us so, use it or lose it! :D

Hi Derek, it is a real one but we have been considering getting a plain black one with a topper when this one expires :-k

Looking back at the previous page there’s a bit of a gap between 2014- 2018… unintentionally I think, so better fill in some of the blanks first…

Around the time of the 2014 Nats we were noticing a bit of smoke from the exhaust so we stopped using it for a while, while we investigated. Initially we were going to take it back to Paul Knight who had built it a couple of years earlier but his workshop was full with 2 long-term builds for another customer. What made it even worse was that it was the guy who got us banned from Brooklands around this time and one of the cars was his infamous black Chrysler 300 wagon!

So while we waited, we came up with a Plan B to take the car down to JC’s and get them to remove the engine and trans and do a few other jobs while the engine was back at Paul’s. Then, when rebuilt we’d get JC to repaint and refit… simples!
