What did you do to your Mopar today?

Post by Mark B »

Just wondering what you did to your car today? Any engine mods or just took it out for a drive?

I fitted an isolator switch to the battery.

My wife and I discussed getting it out and washing it. Does that count?

Replaced all 3 header collector bolts on passenger side which had sheared off when I grounded on a f**king speed bump / pot hole combination-Sheesh!

Full tune up on the Barracuda after the last few months lifter debacle. Dropped the Valiant back on the floor after the rear quarter repair and warmed that up to make sure all is well. Current status, both cars operational. Checked the bank balance and tweaked the Summit order to suit ready to place next week. Got everything in place ready to cc the 408's cylinder heads tomorrow, productive day!

Took it to the Walton Bridge Breakfast Club (although it was more like lunchtime by the time I got there!)

I bit the bullet and tackled the vent lines that had perished that go to the canister thingy. Pain of a job because you can’t get to the top of the tank without dropping it, and it was full!

Also finished of the vans bit of bling, a 68-70 flip gas cap. I wanted to be able to lock it so found a nos locking cap and removed the spring/seal. Fits nicely underneath.

Finally, got round to giving the grille and bumper a clean. Small things, but make me happy :D
