Yes, Morgan; they are installed. I think they form the 3rd Ring of Dante's Inferno.

I had to make up a separate set for the dyno as these wrap around the transmission....

There is at least 3/8" Clearance between the Right Hand Rocker Box and the Shock Tower, and Challengers have one of the widest engine bays too....

You have to take the Steering Column out, the Drag Link off, the Pitman Arm off, the Torsion Bars out to get the engine in and out.....

.....plus the normal stuff such as Exhausts, Radiator, Transmission cooler, Catch can, Alternator, Remote Oil Filter and housing and lines, and the one-off sub-frame that supports every thing.....Racing, ehhh???

Pete,
What was the reason for you to have to install the motor so many times ...

Looks nice settled in the engine bay, albeit snug :)

Well after more or less double checking everything, plus the usual miser getting the Headers in (necessitating taking the engine out again!!! - I have now written the sequence down), it is "IN IN".

Moreover, the Engine has been fired up again and the Transmission checked that it shifts in all the gears.

With a bit of luck and a following wind, it should make the "Nostalgia Nationals" at Santa Pod in May...
