Hi All,

I'm after your opinion please. I'm looking for a Challenger V6 as a family runabout and spotted these.

First one's got high miles but cheap, was a recent import, car just serviced, has MOT, V5.

Or this:

Lower miles, but more expensive:

What do you think?

Thanks for any opinions.

Carfax your final choice.

Maybe me, but ive seen quite a few stories on facebook about the modern musclecars and flood damage, write offs, Dubai etc.

Purely on the look, the grey one gets my vote.

Did an HPI check on one I looked at and all was clear.

Did a USA HPI check came back total wreck and two mileage discrepancies.

Beware

A friend of mine has one of these. He had to have both sills removed and all of the foam removed from within and then reattached and painted up. Apparently the foam is in the sills to reduce noise but retains water/moisture and causes them to rot out. He showed me the work done on his. The tell tale is little blisters of rust creeping round the sill/rear wheel arch bottom. Difficult to spot because of the sill covers and somebody could have rubbed the rust down an given a blow over. He is part of a Facebook group for modern Challengers which have a lot of good info. I can find out more if required

cheers
Shayne

Thanks for the useful advice. Carfax sounds a good idea.

What plonker thought it was a good idea to put foam in the sills.
