small block manual gearbox, flywheel etc

Post by mygasser » Thu Jun 13, 19 10:59 pm

hi all,
what is about manual gearbox (4 or 5 speed) wise for a small block mopar? i'd need flywheel, clutch etc if available. even just a bellhousing and flywheel would do as i can adapt a different box to it.
cheers, neil.

I will have the bellhousing, flywheel & 10.5" clutch available from my Valiant when I drop in the new engine in the next couple of months. I've also got a complete A body 4 speed in bits I could be persuaded to part with....

Bellhousing/ flywheel/ clutch £150. G/box £90.
Dave Bishop just called me to say he has a complete 4 speed/ prop/ clutch linkage for an A body also, you might want to talk to him about that.

are you changing to auto with the new engine then or upgrading your manual setup too?
what does the 4 speed need to put it back together other than new bearings and seals?

Staying 4 speed but with a scattershield/ SFI flywheel and race clutch. 4 speed needs a bit of ally welding on the tailshaft and reassembling. it is large pilot diameter so the centre bore of the bellhousing would need opening up to suit, the one Dave has would bolt straight up.
