Those squishy blue rocker gaskets for a BB.

Anyone know a UK supplier or has anyone got any ? I only seem to be able to see cork ones...

Nope - they didnt have them, but could get them on a couple of weeks lead.
They were helpful and made a recommendation of the these thicker new style Felpros.
They are relatively rigid, but not made of cork of flexy-rubber like the last ones. Like a hard rubber. Anyway - I decided to give them a go. We'll try them clean n dry and if that doesnt get it we'll apply the gunge...

are you fitting cast ally covers to iron BB heads ? If not, ignore the following.....


The mating surface on the iron heads can be nowhere near flat. THe surface sometimes drops much lower towards the ends of the head. Not a problem with pressed steel covers as they distort and clamp down to meet the surface. Ally covers can be very difficult to seal due to their rigidity

Thanks Matt - tin covers. I'm thinking of gunging them in to the covers them dry mating to head.
They should be on-off-able if it doesnt get it this time. Chasing out the oil leaks one by one... :)
