440 Exhaust manifold.

Post by Steve Ottley »

Switching from headers to cast iron. I need a R/H passenger side cast H/P exhaust manifold.

If anyone's interested I have a pair of headers for sale off my Charger R/T project - been blasted- one good, one has a bit of tin worm. Unsure of manufacturer.

Hi Dave. Thanks for your quick reply.

It's for a '70 Charger R/T.

Aren't most of the big- block B body manifold similar ?

Doesn't matter if the heat riser valve is missing or broken 'cos I was going to remove that anyway.

i think the only difference is the angle of the outlet flange. if you're fitting to an existing system you'll need to match what you have.
But if you're going from headers to cast manifolds you'll need a new downpipe anyway, so you just need to match the flange to the manifold.
from memory YR1 has a diagram that explains it. probably better than me.
