Well though it was time I posted up my latest mopar project,
Purchased this locally 2 year ago and couldn’t resist another challenge.original California car needing a full Resto.
It needs the usual front floor pans and small repairs in the boot due to standing water rather than rot.
The body has its usual bumps and dents but I enjoy metal fabrication and panel work.
The car came with loads of parts missing which I’ve managed to source.
It’s now at my workshop and the plan is a long term Resto, we will see.
Already started restoring small bits and pieces and boxing them up.

I’ve built a mild 360 and a 904 for it and it will have 83/4 rear with 3.23 suregip and front powerdisc brakes.
What is it about these old mopars, its great fun bringing them back to life.

Well the panics over,
Was a bit concerned about getting the car registered as the car was missing a lot of bits, and was partly dismantled,but a new v5 popped through the letter box the other day.
Thanks Matt h for your info.

Had to make a start on it and before you know it,it’s in bits.
It’s supposed to be a long term project but we will see.

Gotta love a Duster. What are the plans for resto? bodywork then paint and interior, or will you leave some as is and work here and there?

Ive had mine about 5 years now, almost wish i had that condition, too scared to scratch the paint.

Thanks for the positive comments guys.
Next job will be to remove the screens and complete dash assembly, then start on metal work, once that’s done it will get sand blasted.
I know what you mean chris about shinny paint but as there is no patina it will get painted.you just need to start using yours now.
Oh and As you know guy I work on modern stuff all day long but nothing beats working on these old mopars and giving them a new lease of life.
