My thought until I took it out and found the end that had fallen off. It has nice little beaded edges to fit in the channel and looks to be half translucent to show a light through. I could certainly make something to fill the hole, but it's always worth asking. The last bit of broken plastic I asked about, a member had a spare one and £5 and two days later I had it in my grubby hand...
