Newbie 69 Charger

Post by Mbromilow »

Hi all,
Just joined the site over the weekend. Currently awaiting delivery of my 69 charger as it’s coming from California as week speak. Needs some TLC like rear quarter work and interior but nothing major really. Only a 318 but it honestly doesn’t both me, as I’ve wanted one for a while.

Welcome on board :thumbright:

That looks nice, now for the endless wait for the ship to arrive. If you know which one it's on and you're a bit sad
you can follow it's progress here https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/ho ... 5.0/zoom:4

Meantime you can look for some proper front seats

Looks nice enough from what you can see there. I personally think the black paint and vectors look very tough.
Sourcing the seats could be fun - but will be totally worth it given the rest of it looks to be there (door cards etc). Assume its a column shift car as no centre console ?
Dont worry too much about the 318 - Mine was 318 and to be honest (with hindsight) it was perfectly adequate. Would chirp the tyres as needed etc - Joe public none the wiser and the front end was lighter :) Plenty of time to put a rip-snorter in there at a later date...

Nice looking car. More pics ASAP !

Yeah I know which vessel it’s on so I’ve been tracking it every few days. Only 2 1/2 weeks to wait. The comes with original seats also 💥.

Hi, the came with the original seats and rails. So lucky really. Will go straight into the body shop to get sorted. Want it done right so I’m not in a rush to get it down. Just wanted to secure one.

Car looks great , and would not be concerned about the 318 , had that in my 71 Challenger and it was more than up to the job , the wheels and the paint go very nicely together , love it !
Enjoy

Welcome to the board :salute: Great looking Charger you have there, nothing wrong with a 318ci V8 it beats hands down a reconditioned lawn mower engine! ;) :thumbright:

Looks great. :thumbright:
I am coming to believe a 56mph speed record is harder to achieve than a 400mph one!
