For sale,..factory service manual for Chrysler Valiant VE series ( dated 1967) £45 inc p&p
I know that this should be in the for sale section but it is only relevant to the Aussie crowd

How relevant do you think it is for the VF/VG series? I now have a few decent independent manuals covering v8 and slant 6, but not a factory one.

Engine, suspension, steering etc will be relevant. Body, interior wiring etc will be different.

always worth having...

VE VF VG were a family, all based on same platform

the jump from VG - VH was wider

the VE VF VG all had the same chassis all had the same engine and gearboxes

subtle differences in the brakes a VE disk brake is unique

face it Chrysler changed things at a snails pace to avoid the TOTALLY brand new car in any model release scenario. Having everything brand new and untested by an Australian public, who were quite good at highlighting a weakness in any product was to be avoided at all cost.
The devil may care attitude of some, and the harsher conditions are why so many British efforts at conquering that market failed and a relatively basic Valiant succeeded. its didn't snap or have its suspension punch through the supporting bodywork like a mk 2 cortina or a cavalier and they ran reasonably well on crap fuel.

so id suggest reasonably relevant the wring diagrams for the basics will be translatable, still the same mix of EMAIL Prestolite Lucas and Hella bits n bobs in there. the factory wouldn't be changing wiring practices too much you'd have to retrain
