1968 Dodge alternator

It might be a 1968 Dodge w200 pickup but the original engine and gearbox has long gone.
The engine has been replaced with a 1996 issh Daf lorry Cummins 6BT (5900cc) turbo-diesel.
The same engine is found in loads of generator/boats / Dodge ram / Daf lorries etc etc etc
In the DAF the system is 24v and the original bracket and alternator is long gone.
What I have left is what I would call a standard car setup. The bottom of the alternator is fixed and the top swings over to tighten the belt on a slotted bar.
I managed to snap an ear of my Lucas LRA100 externally regulated 35 amp alternator and now need a new one.
The wiring loom for the truck is in the works and fully custom so can easily support any amp size.
I sort of feel that 35amp externally regulated alternator is not the way to go
I could make any alternator fit Any Advice ??
