Thanks Matt, the photos make it look better than it is....lots of brekkie meets and shows in southeast this years, so put some miles on the car, great way of testing new fuel tank, electy pump and rebuilt carb..
Re: anyone doing much driving in your mopar?
That's a mean looking car. Eats Honda Jazz's for breakfast.
Re: anyone doing much driving in your mopar?
Nice run out yesterday. Car running much better now the idle mix is a bit richer. Think Ive got a tiny bit too much initial timing now so will back it off a little next time Im out and readjust the idle mix....I think more regular fettling will be required dependant on what fuel I can get.
Wee look around a local disused WW2 airbase. Was used to train bomber pilots and bomb aimers who were supported in harnesses 3 floors up while aerial footage was projected onto the floor. Those big buildings have now gone but I did get a chance to look around them before. The control tower is interesting to go into.
Even managed a good clean when I got her home
Cheers Steve

I took the 'Cuda out for a Test Drive yesterday...
I have learned that the definition of a "millisecond" is from the time it takes me to get the car on the driveway until the time it starts raining....

Have you done some upgrades to it?
Re: anyone doing much driving in your mopar?
Most people would consider it a downgrade....
In preparation for the Isle of Man tour, I have taken out the 3.91:1 Gears and installed a numerically low rear gear set (Non-Suregrip) to reduce the rpm at cruising speed.
Ironically, it has turned it into a much more enjoyable car to drive and I can make full use of all the Transmission gears now.
It is now a "one wheel Peel" but still has enough power an torque to make it a fast but driveable car.
The added bonus is now the engine turns at around 2,500 rpm at 70 mph!

Yup!
Fully intended to start taking it to bits today, but being as it wasn’t raining for a change, took a trip out to a local cafe for breakfast instead.

24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not…

Re: anyone doing much driving in your mopar?
Cheers.
Engine bay is not in good shape, so pulling the motor to have a tidy up and a clean up / repaint. Grill and surrounds to repaint, trim to knock back to shape and a few upgrades and changes whilst I’m at it. Swapping the trans and moving from electric fuel pump to mechanical, headlight upgrades and some other stuff. Busy winter coming up!
