Cool! Thanks Stu.

Jeep already offer a 392 Hemi Wrangler Rubicon, but unfortunately not for European markets, where the current JL model has either a 2.0 petrol or 2.2 diesel.

I'm not inclined to change my old JK Wrangler any time soon. 2017 was the last year for the 2.8 CRD, which has the torque of a Hemi, and gets 30mpg. It will climb the side of a house.

I did wonder what is the best diesel in the Jeeps as I quite fancy a Grand Cherokee but don't know what is good and what is not. There were a couple of options in the Voyagers too for diesel, not sure if they are the same.

The rugged and grumbly 4 pot 2.8 CRD suits the Wrangler, but the 3.0 V6 CRDs in the Grand Cherokees are much smoother and more powerful.

The previous WK model had a Mercedes 3.0, but the current WK2 model (like Dave's) has a Fiat/VM 3.0. Both great engines.

For older ZJ and WJ Grand Cherokees (pre 2005), I would always go for the petrol 4.0 straight 6. The 2.7 CRD was not known for reliability.
