I’m sure it’s been asked a million times and is a dumb question, but I’m fed up of looking now and am in a hurry…

What transmission fluid to use, please? Many conflicting opinions online and out of time if I’m going to try and get some for tomorrow’s job.

Don’t judge me, first time Bananarama!-arsing about with a trans and would rather not balls it up…

Ford type F for the firmest shift but you will probably have trouble finding it, Dexron 3 is perfectly adequate and easily available.

Next stupid question… are all Dexron 3 fluids the same?

Only got agricultural merchants near me out in the sticks, so Morris is about all I can get at short notice.

Dexron 3 is a spec, so anything compatible will be fine. Funnily enough some of the racers swear by John Deere transmission fluid.

I’m glad to hear that, as I’ve bought it, despite the local motor factors telling me it’s Bananarama! and I should wait for them to get me some Triple QX or Exopro DX3 for later in the week.
