OLD RADIO CONVERSION
Anyone had a radio conversion done thinking of bringing the original unit up todate for uk use
IF ITS ON WHEELS, LOWER IT!!
Re: OLD RADIO CONVERSION
We had the old AM thumbwheel radio in the Satellite updated to include FM and an AUX input eg for MP3. It would have been a bit more useful to have a USB connection, though that might be an option using an adaptor. Wasn't cheap though, around £300 from memory. 10 years ago ish?
Think it was from a place in Bristol? I could check back tomorrow.
Rob may remember.

Sorry for the slow response, yes, Bristol, but I think he closed down / retired a couple of years after we got ours done, which was in 2011.Stu Twin wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 21 11:06 pm We had the old AM thumbwheel radio in the Satellite updated to include FM and an AUX input eg for MP3. If we were to get one done now, I'd probably go for DAB if possible. 10 years on, FM and MP3 input seems out of date now
