Ok, let's re-cap.
Van has been running fine for the couple of years I've owned it.
It started to get a bit temperamental about six weeks ago, engine died when a bit warm in stationary traffic.
Then one day it started up was was running really rough and wouldn't settle to a smooth idle.
Next day wouldn't start at all.
new fuel filters, one at the tank one small clear one at the carb,
carb rebuilt and cleaned
new rotor
new dizzy cap
new leads.
Still won't start !!!!
I haven't pulled the dizzy as I'm pretty sure that hasn't moved, It's secure.
I lined up the timing marks at TDC and rotor arm is pointing to 7 o'clock (roughly) but that points in between two posts on the dizzy cap when its fitted.
I'm pretty much out of ideas now.
Anyone know a good Mopar mechanic in north London?
