Considering trailering up!! - Finding secure parking somwhere around the area and drive across - Fuel cost from here will prob be around £400 + would only be an enjoyable drive if I avoid Motorways but then it would take a whole day!!

You are not the first person to suggest the Trailer but it may have an impact on the Ferry costs, may be worth checking.

I was thinking more on leaving the truck and trailer in this country some where nearer the port if I can find Secure parking !

We're in! :D

Well, almost...

Tried booking last nite but it bombed out at the last stage, said there was an Internal Server Error and that I needed to phone them so I dont get charged twice.
So hopefully get that sorted today [-o<

Booked :thumbright:

Me & Stu, 4 nights. I ended up phoning them to make sure my failed online attempt didnt get duplicated.
He asked which port we'd likely be leaving from, Liverpool or Heysham, tho the ferry times for next year aren't confirmed yet.
I said probably Liverpool as we're coming from he south. He said ferries from L'pool are likely to leave at 7pm, arriving at Douglas at 10pm. He said the earlier one is during the night so prob not practical.
He though the better option would be to go from Heysham, even tho it's 40 mins further north, the departure time is likely to be 2pm, arriving at 6pm. And it's easier to get to, not having to drive through L'pool.

We dont have to decide for a while yet - prob not for another year, but worth bearing in mind... :-k

Excellent!

Can't beat a road trip.

Useful info on the Ports too!

We will probably stop on the way up there overnight to break the journey up.....
